The quality of the photo is killing me, if I'll get more commissions in this paper size, I think I should buy a big scanner T^T Or a professional camera.
And I decided I'm gonna bother you with it, because it's actually my blog and I can post what I want to, right? :D

Omg is it finished or is it finished asdfghjk. Not sure if I won't change the shadow under them but, yeah, pretty much it's finished. I just need to wait till tomorrow for the sunlight to make a better photo (it's 3:03am here, ehehe). I started wondering if I should keep trying to draw during days >.< Tomorrow I'll upload better version to the gallery here and on devArt, but I'm not sure if I'm going to bother you by posting the same picture again in the blog entry. So, yeah.
Ah, time to get back to the digital commissions.

I can't believe it was actually me, who drew it. But well, it didn't draw itself, so it had to be me XD  Yay, only corrections and hair left. But hair are always a nigtmare, so cross fingers for LW not ruining them xD

Ichabod Crane - Work In progress - video

I posted this on FB fanpage already (actually it's automatic, it has posted itself :D), but let me say something more about it this time. Remember the cute manga drawing with Witch Hunter Robin I was working on? Yeah, this one. I lost it all. I was recording the process of coloring Amon and my laptop thought Amon was so hot that he couldn't and shut down. A second after I hit save. So now I have one pink layer with some pixels T^T I was so angy I was really going to cry so I had to draw and record something else. This time with Camtasia even if I lost my recording in it before. But the computer didn't get too hot after 4 hours of recording back then. F*cking Bandicam, I hate you. You ruined my drawing, the birthday gift for my friend! Well anyway. I needed to draw someting, uh, pretty. And I had the Ichabod picture for the ref saved so, yeah. Hope you enjoy the video as I do drawing him and hopefully I'll soon upload the second part and I won't loose the video nor the drawing itself.

(This is also the answer for the question how the f*ck do I draw the portraits :D)

Geezus why can't she just wear jeans like her boyfriend >.< It'd be so easier to draw. Ah, and I have my answer. Her dress and legs are going to kill me.

And here's a bonus. I promised myself to sketch more and recently I'm playing with markers and found my very old PITT artist pens so I thought I'd give them a try. So. Yeah. Not a pretty, polished drawing, but I think quite good for a pens sketch.

And below the paper there is my super awesome and expensive graphic tablet :D

The video is probably part 1, I'll try to record Amon's coloring. And this one was only a software test, but I don't think I like the outcome. The quality is a fail >.<

The video is short, but this is basically the way I colored her whole dress.

Because of my problems with concentration I decided to try the Pomodoro system and... it works! My productivity got better :)

I used automatic pencils, 0,35 and 0,5 both HB (I guess) + traditional pencil 6B for the deeper shades in some parts (mostly the pants). Oh, and it's in A3 format (so I can't even scan it).

So, yeah, it has changed a bit since the last wip xD This time it's hopefully almost finished. I need to correct face, finish the armour and correct some other things.
Note to self - listening to Sabaton and Nahajo helps XD

Medicine seller + bonus

 

Ahhh, haven't drawn with pencil in ages. Which is actually bad because I have a traditional commission to finish :T But anyway. This isn't pencil either. I needed a break from the elf guy from the last post and decided to test my new Sai pencil brush and I think I fell in love *__* Believe me, the compressed image doesn't show how it looks like. In big sized image it's so much better <3 You can enlarge the picture by clicking it but it's still not the full view (it will stay only on my computer's hard drive ;) ).

Aaand as a bonus - a little preview of what am I doing to my beloved final paper.

 

It's a schematic look of a starfish's arm cross-section. I think I kinda like it. I mean it's disgusting but a drawing itself looks pretty good imho.

How to make a simple texture in 1 minute

So I basically was looking for some easy and fast way to create a texture in Photoshop and found one, so I though I could share, maybe it's gonna be usefull for some of you :)

Yes, I'm trying to work on my final paper. Yes it's about the fossil starfishes. Yes, it's so fucking interesting it almost makes me cry every time I start writing the new sentence.

So in the meantime I need to make something, uh, more creative?

Nevermind. Nobody cares after all.

Back to the basics

For quite a long time recently I was down because I felt I can't draw at all. I shade, sometimes color, but I'm not able to make a whole drawing look properly. And than I got this brilliant and so original idea - if you can't do it - learn it. So I'm back to the basics. Reading tutorials, looking at the photos, references, amazing arts and thinking how it's made and trying to remember as much as I can. And then create and repeat repeat repeat. This is the video of how I was trying to learn drawing the realistic eye. Still have problems with eyelashes orz

I was looking for something to draw or to finish on my computer and found this, and it was almost finished. So I just had to correct several things and add the texture :) Enjoy.

Easy way to draw a chainmail in Sai or Photoshop

And another quick tutorial. And I promise, this way of drawing a chainmail is REALLY fast and easy, even if it doesn't look so. 

Drawing braids in 5 easy steps

I was sketching a model for some other tutorial I promised someone and then I thought 'Hey! I've always had a problem with drawing braids and it's not as difficult as it looks, I should make a tutorial about it first!'. So, here you are, an easy way of drawing braids :)






1. First draw two lines making a general shape of the braid you want to make. The farther they are from themselves, the wider will be the braid.

2. Then make a line through the middle of the entire braid (if it's a digital sketch/linart, you can copy one of the lines and put it in the middle).

3. Make a "v" shapes on the braid. They don't have to be simmetric.

4. Now the hardest part. You have to make every braid part roundish on the outstide. And, if needed, correct the "Vs" a little bit.

5. Add a shading/colouring, if you wish.

Et voila! Done!
Not difficult at all, huh? :)

More linearts

This time I've saved the linearts as the separates files and have two copies of a PSD files ready to colour. Hopefully I won't lose the progresses this time. Anyway, this is Alice with a rose, making a set with the Gilbert one ;D I'm really curious how this will look with a colouring ^_^

 And this one, I think, will be in b&w, with gray scale in some parts. I'm not sure yet, but probably it will look the best in b&w.

Sir Gilbert

Something went wrong when I was saving the colouring of the Break x Sharon picture and I lost ALL the progress I made. Along with the lineart. I went so mad I almost broke my smarphone XD God bless the brilliant idea of posting the lineart here. I can enlarge it and make a better one on the top layer.
But in the meantime I made a new picture for my project. I've learned how to make a nice coloring without a lineart :) I mean it may look a bit weird but I do like the effect :) So please enjoy sir Gilbert with a rose ^_^
Btw, I'm curious, do you like this style of colouring? Or do you prefer my other "manga" style? (like in the Fire Emblem fanarts)

Loki is cursed

I don't know what's with this guy. ... I mean every time I start to draw him it's SO hard to finish. I have at least 3 unfinished drawings of him and more ideas I couldn't even start.
Right now I'm working on one of the old drawings (it's from the last year) and... I've finished reading a boring book, started at least 5 new random drawings, watched 2 eps of various series and uh... CAN'T FINISH IT. That's why I said Loki is cursed. Well he is, but I wish he wasn't THIS way XD
